We talked with Katrina Richardson, Executive Director of the Jefferson County Tourist Development, to have her share with us some of the highlights for planning a Monticello wedding.

The Monticello Opera House is a unique setting for weddings amongst an active performing arts theater and staple of the city since 1890. There are a variety of versatile reception rooms that can be decorated any way one can imagine to tailor that special event. Begin the special day in the beautiful garden graced with a gazebo for an outdoor ceremony.
For a traditional ceremony, Monticello has many churches that can provide just the right ceremony to fulfill any couple’s preference.
